3 must-visits this New Year with Greyhound!

 In Travelling

It is the New Year! It seems like yesterday that we were preparing for 2019 and now as if it never happened at all, it’s done. How did it go so fast?

In case you missed it, throughout the year we celebrated our women, our heritage, our country and all of Southern Africa in all of its glory, but most importantly, we celebrated luxury. Greyhound, after all, is still the most luxurious way to travel by bus across South Africa, especially if you travel on the opulence of the Dreamliner.

It’s got us thinking then: With all the places that you can go in our spacious seats with legs stretched-out, what’s your 2020 must-visits? Any idea? Here are three!

  1. Check-off Constantia and finally get wine tasting!

Wine tasting is one of Cape Town’s favourite past-times and is one of the many reasons why thousands of tourists visit this fantastic city every year. Years later and Cape Town is still one of the most popular end-destinations on many of our Greyhound routes and much of that has to do with the brilliance of wine farm country.

Our tip: Check out Constantia Glen! This immaculate gem has some of the best views in the world and is a stone’s throw from the city.

  1. Check-off surfing and finally get down to Jeffrey’s Bay

Surfing is one of the most brilliant activities that you can do. Not only is it awesome fun – it really is – it’s also a smart way to catch some sun while enjoying some healthy exercise. Without a doubt then, Jeffrey’s Bay in the Eastern Cape is the place to be when it comes to finally get your surf on!

Our tip: Invest in a surf lesson before going at it alone. Master the basics to get the most from your surfing experience.

  1. Check-off ‘swimming with sharks’ at uShaka Marine World, Durban

Swimming with sharks? Sounds like madness, we know, but why not if it’s entirely safe? That’s exactly what it is at Durban’s uShaka Marine World, a place that all kids will love on a warm day-out. Worry not – this is Durban – all days are warm days-out so good news if you’re worried about the weather.

Certainly, swimming with these majestic and endangered species is a must for the more adventurous. Oh, and imagine the selfies!

There you have it: 3 must-visits this 2020 because you deserve it. Indeed, it’s nice to plan a getaway, but even better knowing that getting there is going to be luxuriously comfortable. What a relief!
