Greyhound South Africa can confirm that one of its buses were involved in a collision on Friday night, 16 September 2016 near Bloemfontein.

An internal investigation is being conducted to establish the facts surrounding the incident and subsequently, no official statement or comment can yet be made public.

It can be confirmed that no passengers were injured. Three crew members were, however, hospitalised; one of our drivers sustained serious injuries while the other was discharged from hospital on Saturday. An onboard cabin attendant underwent surgery for a fracture on Sunday.

Greyhound South Africa would like to extend our sincerest condolences to the friends and family of the reported two American citizens who passed away in the accident.

More information will be released upon conclusion of our investigation.
