How to book your Greyhound bus ticket online
Here at Greyhound we strive to make life easier for our passengers from the point of booking a ticket to arriving at a destination. One of our more popular booking options is through our website. If you haven’t booked your bus ticket online yet, don’t worry, here’s a simple step-by-step guide.
Enter your desired departure and arrival destinations on the booking form located on our home page.
Select the date you wish to travel on and return.
Click on “see available routes”. Please wait a moment while it processes. If you receive an error, just click on the “see available routes” button again.
You will see a selection of tickets on your screen with various routes and prices on them. Click on the green button with the price of the bus ticket you wish to book.
Choose whether you want to sit on the upper or lower deck (if applicable) and choose your seat number. Select which discount you wish to book and the number of seats you wish to book.
Click on “Get Offer”.
Fill in the required fields marked with *. Remember to enter your Loyalty Number if applicable. In the “special attention” field, you have to enter any medical and disability concerns you would like to make Greyhound aware of.
Note the departure and cost details of your ticket in the upper corner. Click on the “Add Passenger” button.

Select your payment method and fill in the required fields.
A passenger has the right to cancel an advance booking, subject to the imposition of a reasonable cancellation fee, which will not exceed 20% of the price of the ticket.
The passenger may then request a booking for the next available seat on the same route as the initial ticket (“re-booking”), in which case no cancellation will be levied, provided that this is requested at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure time.
Any increase in the cost/price of the bus ticket will be for the account of the passenger, payable immediately on making the re-booking. Any request for a re-booking must be accompanied by the original bus ticket.
The reservations agency and/or Greyhound may at their own discretion, levy an administrative fee for a re-booking, which will not exceed 20% of the price of the bus ticket.
Re-bookings may be made at Greyhound offices, the 24-hour Customer Care facility 087 352 0352, or any authorised travel agent, i.e. Computicket or Shoprite Checkers.
Each passenger is permitted to take free of charge, at own risk, two suitcases not exceeding 80cm x 60cm x 30cm in size, of a total mass not exceeding 30kg. Greyhound has the right to refuse the carriage of luggage that does not comply with these conditions.
You must be 18 years and older to travel Cross Border unaccompanied.
