In Joburg, head to a lakeside park and play a game of your favourite sport
Johannesburg is spoilt for choice when it comes to lakeside parks and spring is the perfect time to enjoy them! Whether it’s Greenside, Zoo Lake, Emmarentia or Gilloolys, get on out and enjoy the springtime sunshine.
It’s the perfect weather to grab a ball and enjoy some touch, footie or cricket. What’s your game?
From Cape Town, head up the west coast and be awed by the spring flower bloom
There are few things as extraordinary as the west coast flower bloom. Not only is it nationally renowned, but it’s also actually the largest flower bloom in the world and is a much-anticipated event across the flower-loving world.
These aren’t just flowers. They’re flowers in a million colours for as far as the eye can see. Its breath taking.
So, if you are a flower enthusiast, make sure you head on down to Cape Town this September on a Greyhound.

From Durban, head down the south coast and grab a beach this spring
When spring hits Durban, it’s the equivalent of any great summer around the world. Truthfully, Durban doesn’t ever really get cold, so spring is possibly the best time to soak up the sun.
It’s not too hot and not too busy so head on down the coast and have a springtime weekend. Remember your towels and sunblock!
Greyhound will get you to Durban from any part of the country, view our various routes on https://www.greyhound.co.za/route-map/
In Bloemfontein, head to the Botanical Gardens and enjoy a picnic
In the dryness of South Africa’s interior, cold and khaki winters is the order of the day. Truthfully though, it’s all part of the charm of this fantastic part of the world and we love every bit of it.
But, this springtime, head on over to the National Botanical Gardens and picnic with budding flowers to the chirps of springtime birds.
So, there you have it: Four green visits this spring from across the breadth of our most extraordinary country. The question is simple then- How are you getting there?
In luxury and on a Greyhound, we hope
